Sharing a milestone!!

My shift began after my appointment at the Pass Office, where I officially received my yellow RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card). I know, it’s a bit late in the game—but hey, better late than never, right? The process itself was smooth. While the wait was long, everything went well, thanks to the helpful agents who made the experience seamless.

The counters opened at 3:45 a.m., with just two flights scheduled that day—one to London Gatwick and the other to Faro, Portugal. After a quick briefing from our supervisors, we were directed to the kiosk area to assist passengers with printing their boarding passes and bag tags.

With only two flights on the roster, the day moved at a slower pace. Most of my interactions were with passengers seeking guidance—some had questions about locating KLM or Air France counters, while others needed help using the kiosk. Unfortunately, I could only assist travelers flying with Air Transat, but I made sure to point them in the right direction.

After assisting a few passengers, we took a much-needed break. Once we returned, we headed straight to the gates as instructed to assist with the flight to Faro, Portugal. We shadowed the agents during the boarding process, helping with scanning boarding passes and ensuring everything ran smoothly. After boarding was complete, we witnessed the pushback of the aircraft and waved our goodbyes before returning to the counters.

Back at the kiosks, we continued assisting passengers for the London Gatwick flight. As the counters closed and the last few passengers were on their way, my shift came to an end.

Shift hours: 1300-2200
