Terminal Tour: Discovering the airport on orientation day!

Monday September 20, 2025

from the moment I stepped into Toronto Pearson Airport, I knew this was going to be an adventure 💫.

My day started off pretty well, I took the subway from Warden station to Kipling continuing my commute on bus 900, "go airport rocket express🚀🛬!!!! " it got me there early. The airport was filled with a lot of activities, travelers from different parts of the world. Some seemed calm like frequent travellers while others were in a hurry to check-in. I enjoyed seeing the flight attendants and pilots arriving together, they are always so professionally dressed. I connected with my collogues at the currency exchange counter across from Porter Airlines as we were instructed to wait for Judith's arrival, our awesome placement coordinator.

                                                                              LEARNING THE ROPES!!

The day continued with introductions, we were guided through the essential protocol and procedure that will help our placement run smoothly. Whether it was learning how to get access to the door or what floor to exit the elevator, every detail mattered. Judith showed us around the office including the kitchen and introduced us to a few of her colleagues. She informed us that the office is open 24 hours and someone will always be there to give us access to the door. It gave me a new appreciation for all the hard working individuals that manage such a dynamic environment. We met a few employees who worked at the check-in counters for Air Transat, their dedication and enthusiasm were contagious. We took some great photos and shared them in our WhatsApp group.

As orientation day came to a close, I felt ready to embark on this new chapter and what lies ahead😊
