Assisting beyond terminal 3- From delays to directions

 Friday April 4, 2025 Upon arriving at the airport, the bustling atmosphere was immediately apparent—the counters were incredibly busy. During our briefing, we learned we had three flights scheduled for the evening. One was to Panama, originally set for 1300. but unfortunately delayed until 1900. The other two were our usual routes: London Gatwick and Faro. After the briefing, we headed to the kiosks to assist passengers. Our initial task was ensuring only travelers heading to Faro joined the check-in lines, as the counters for Panama weren't open yet. In the meantime, we asked Panama-bound passengers to scan their barcodes and have their eVisa forms ready. It was an intense evening with the delayed flight adding to the workload. I assisted countless passengers, providing directions, helping them navigate the gates, and offering information about other counters. Sharing a milestone!!

 Friday, March 28, 2025 My shift began after my appointment at the Pass Office, where I officially received my yellow RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card). I know, it’s a bit late in the game—but hey, better late than never, right? The process itself was smooth. While the wait was long, everything went well, thanks to the helpful agents who made the experience seamless. The counters opened at 3:45 a.m., with just two flights scheduled that day—one to London Gatwick and the other to Faro, Portugal. After a quick briefing from our supervisors, we were directed to the kiosk area to assist passengers with printing their boarding passes and bag tags. With only two flights on the roster, the day moved at a slower pace. Most of my interactions were with passengers seeking guidance—some had questions about locating KLM or Air France counters, while others needed help using the kiosk.
